CSIR UGC NET December 2023 Registration
The online registration for the exam has started from 1 November 2023 and will end on 30 November 2023. Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria can apply online on the official website. The application fee for the exam is Rs. 1000 for General/EWS/OBC-NCL candidates, Rs. 500 for SC/ST/PwD candidates and Rs. 250 for Female candidates. The fee can be paid online through debit card/credit card/net banking/UPI.

CSIR UGC NET December 2023 Exam Date
The CSIR UGC NET December 2023 exam will be conducted on 26, 27 and 28 December 2023 in two shifts – morning shift from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm and afternoon shift from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm. The exam will be held in computer-based mode at various exam centres across the country. The exam consist of five papers, namely, Chemical Sciences, Earth, Atmospheric, Ocean and Planetary Sciences, Life Sciences, Mathematical Sciences and Physical Sciences. Candidates can choose any one paper according to their subject of post-graduation or equivalent degree.

CSIR UGC NET December 2023 Eligibility
The eligibility criteria for the CSIR UGC NET December 2023 exam are as follows:
- Age Limit: For JRF, the upper age limit is 28 years as on 1 July 2023. For Lectureship/Assistant Professorship, there is no upper age limit. Age relaxation is applicable for reserved categories as per government norms.
- Educational Qualification: Candidates should have a Master’s degree or equivalent in Science or Engineering with at least 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/PwD) from a recognized university or institute. Candidates who are pursuing their final year of Master’s degree or are awaiting their results can also apply. Candidates who have a Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering with at least 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/PwD) and are enrolled in an integrated PhD program can also apply. Candidates who have a Bachelor’s degree in Medicine (MBBS) or equivalent can also apply.
CSIR UGC NET December 2023 Syllabus
The syllabus for the CSIR UGC NET December 2023 exam is based on the core subjects of Science and Engineering. The syllabus for each paper is divided into three parts – Part A, Part B and Part C. Part A is common for all papers and consists of questions on general aptitude, logical reasoning, numerical ability, data interpretation, etc. Part B consists of questions on the subject-related conventional topics. CSIR UGC NET December 2023 Admit Card
The admit card for the exam will be released by NTA on the official website csirnet.nta.ac.in. The admit card will be available for download from 16 December 2023 onwards. Candidates who have successfully registered for the exam can download their admit card by entering their application number and date of birth/password. The admit card will contain the details of the candidate, such as name, roll number, exam date, exam centre, exam shift, etc. Candidates must carry their admit card along with a valid photo ID proof to the exam centre. No candidate will be allowed to enter the exam hall without the admit card.
